Pipe Freeze-Up Protection

Twenty
years of Alaskan experience led to the development of
this unique system. This system eliminates the problems
of spot burn-outs and re-excavation. Cable can be applied
to existing pipe runs without excavating. That means
existing water and sewage lines can be protected!
Current is applied at only one end. Pipes as long as 300 feet can be
protected.
The soft TEFZEL® DuPont coated cable
is inserted in a T in the line as and the pressure-tight fitting is then
threaded on the cable and screwed into the T. Tightening the hex nut
makes leak proof connections.

Installation
is a polyethylene line. Although the surface temperature
is 4 watts per foot, Freeze Arrest Cable can reach 200°F
under pipe insulation.
When installed inside a line, the liquid dissipates that heat instantly,
preventing high temperatures that could damage lines.
